Coastal Ties is a quintessentially soft and tropical Hazy IPA that showcases the innovative HBC 586 hop variety alongside the renowned Strata and Mosaic. This murky pour radiates with an intense bouquet driven by HBC 586, offering notes of pineapple sorbet, exotic rambutan, and tart kiwi. On the palate, the complementary addition of Strata and Mosaic delivers a lush wave of ripe mango and sweet honeydew, sharpened by a bright hit of orange zest. The signature murky approach yields a plush, pillowy mouthfeel that carries these vibrant fruit notes through a smooth, low-bitterness finish, balancing complexity with refreshing, fruit-forward drinkability.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4 SRM), thick meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing, opaque and murky.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical pineapple, kiwi, and rambutan. Grainy, lightly bready malt in the background with no caramel. Neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression of juicy tropical fruit. High hop flavor of mango, honeydew, and orange zest. Low perceived bitterness (approx. 35 IBU) masked by body. Bready malt flavor is low. Finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth with light alcohol warmth and no astringency or raw starch.
