This potent Double IPA delivers an intense sensory experience, defined by the concentrated essential oils of the CRYO POP blend and the classic citrus punch of Citra hops. The aroma is a saturated bouquet of overripe mango, passionfruit, and bright pink grapefruit that carries seamlessly into the flavor profile. Despite its significant 10% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a lean, grainy malt structure and a clean fermentation profile. A firm but smooth bitterness balances the tropical fruit sweetness, leading to a dry, resinous finish with a sophisticated, well-integrated alcohol warmth that never becomes solventy.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange; moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing; slight haze is present, typical of modern high-gravity hopping.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, pineapple, and grapefruit zest from the Citra and CRYO POP blend. Background malt is neutral and grainy with a hint of clean, supportive sweetness and a noticeable but smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. High hop flavor intensity mirrors the aroma with layers of stone fruit, citrus, and tropical melon. Bitterness is high but smooth and non-harsh. Malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft platform for the hops. Finish is dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
