This modern American IPA utilizes the exploratory HBC 586 hop variety to deliver a vibrant and focused sensory experience. The profile is defined by intense notes of mango, guava, and lychee, backed by bright citrus zest. Thanks to a cooler fermentation process, the yeast character remains exceptionally clean, allowing the complex tropical fruit aromas to shine without distraction. A light, lean malt backbone provides a crisp platform for the hops to express their full range, culminating in a brisk, refreshing finish. It is a highly drinkable, hop-forward expression that balances high bitterness with a dry, palate-cleansing snap.
Appearance. Pale gold to light gold (approx. 4–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by HBC 586, showcasing ripe mango, tropical guava, and fragrant lychee. Secondary notes of orange peel and grapefruit. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet malt. No fermentation esters.
Taste. Immediate hop impact featuring guava, tropical stone fruits, and citrus. Bitterness is firm and clean, supporting a very dry, crisp finish. Low grainy malt flavor provides minimal sweetness. Aftertaste is hoppy and palate-cleansing with a lingering citrus zest.
