Transcend is a vibrant Double IPA that pushes tropical boundaries through a complex blend of Azacca, HBC 586, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The pour is a glowing gold with a soft, persistent haze typical of modern interpretations. The aroma is an intense rush of ripe mango, pineapple, and zesty grapefruit, supported by a subtle, clean malt backdrop. On the palate, the hop-forward character explodes with layers of stone fruit and passionfruit, balanced by a firm but smooth bitterness. At 8.7% ABV, a refined alcohol warmth integrates seamlessly into a medium-bodied, velvety mouthfeel, finishing dry with a lingering citrus resonance.
Appearance. Gold to light orange (7-9 SRM), featuring a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing. The beer exhibits a significant haze consistent with modern dry-hopping techniques.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of mango and guava (HBC 586), pineapple (Azacca), and bright citrus zest (Citra). Background notes of blueberry and mixed berries (Mosaic) are supported by a clean, neutral, grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with a hint of smooth alcohol.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma: intense tropical fruit, grapefruit, and resin. Bitterness is firm but lacks harshness, balanced by a soft, low supportive malt profile.
