Pygostyle is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures a lush, 'juicy' essence through an intensive double dry-hopping process. This collaboration with DosKiwis Brewing Co. showcases a profile brimming with tropical fruit and citrus, driven by expressive New World hops. The experience is defined by a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a restrained perceived bitterness that allows the hop saturation to take center stage. A clean, bready malt backbone provides a subtle platform for notes of mango, peach, and bright orange, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish that emphasizes drinkability and aromatic depth over harshness.
Appearance. Straw to light orange in color (4–6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque haze that provides a luminous shine. It features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a tropical fruit medley of mango and pineapple, alongside stone fruit and zesty citrus. The malt is low and neutral, providing a light grainy or bready scent. Clean fermentation profile with fruity esters that complement the hops; no grassy, herbal, or caramel notes are present.
Taste. Initial impression is a high to very high explosion of tropical and citrus hop flavors. Low bready malt flavor supports the hop character without adding sweetness. Bitterness is low to medium-low, finishing soft and smooth rather than sharp. The aftertaste is dominated by a lingering fruity hop character and a clean, off-dry finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristic softness and silkiness. Carbonation is moderate. No harshness or astringency is present, and the 6% ABV provides only a very light, well-integrated warmth.
