Open Drums is a massive, double-barrel expression of a Munichwine, pushing the English Barley Wine style into an intensely concentrated realm. The heavy utilization of Munich malt provides a foundation of toasted bread, rich biscuit, and nutty depth, layered with indulgent notes of toffee and dark caramel. The double-barrel aging process introduces profound layers of charred oak, vanilla, and vinous spirit character that cut through the 16.2% ABV. Expect a saturated profile of dried figs and raisins, balanced by a firm bitterness that prevents the viscous, chewy body from becoming cloying. It is a decadent, warming sipper defined by its multi-layered complexity and luxurious texture.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark chestnut with brilliant clarity and ruby highlights. It displays a very low, tan-colored head with minimal retention, leaving a viscous film on the glass and prominent legs due to the high alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity with a dominant rich, bready, and toasty Munich malt character.
