Primátor Weizen
Primátor Weizen captures the quintessential essence of a classic Weissbier, pioneering the style's revival in the Czech Republic. Brewed using a blend of Pilsner and wheat malts, it delivers a soft, bready foundation. The sensory profile is headlined by vibrant aromas of ripe banana and spicy clove, with a subtle, unique hint of nectarine. Noble Saaz and Sládek hops impart a very low, smooth bitterness that perfectly balances the grainy sweetness. This unfiltered ale pours a hazy, pale yellow with a signature dense, moussy head. The mouthfeel is remarkably fluffy and effervescent, finishing dry and incredibly refreshing.
Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM). Hazy and unfiltered with a characteristic yeast cloudiness. Features a very thick, dense, and long-lasting white moussy head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant esters of ripe banana and phenols of spicy clove are well-balanced. Secondary notes include a light, bready, grainy wheat character and a subtle hint of nectarine. Hop aroma is absent to very low and spicy.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, grainy wheat and bready malt. The flavor mirrors the aroma with a harmonious interplay of banana and spicy clove. Low bitterness provides just enough structure against the malt. The finish is relatively dry, clean, and refreshing with a lingering bready aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a distinctively fluffy and creamy fullness. High carbonation creates a spritzy, effervescent sensation on the palate. Smooth and refreshing with no astringency or noticeable alcohol warmth.
