Stanley is a vibrant Hazy IPA that leads with an explosive bouquet of tropical and stone fruits. The strategic use of Citra and Mosaic hops delivers punchy notes of mango, blueberry, and zesty tangerine, while Nelson Sauvin adds a sophisticated layer of crushed white grapes and passionfruit. A grist featuring oats and wheat provides a soft, pillowy texture that carries the intense hop saturation across the palate. Despite the massive hop-forward character, the bitterness remains restrained and smooth, leading to a juicy, off-dry finish that emphasizes drinkability and fresh, citrusy aromatics.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (4-6 SRM) with a pronounced, opaque haze and a luminous shine. It is crowned by a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick, persistent lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity aroma defined by a tropical medley of mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus from the Citra and Mosaic hops. Nelson Sauvin provides a distinct gooseberry and vinous white wine note. The background malt is lightly bready and grainy with no caramel or toast; fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of juicy tropical fruit and citrus zest. Nelson Sauvin introduces flavors of cold-pressed white grape and elderflower, while Mosaic adds a subtle berry-like complexity. The malt provides a neutral, bready foundation. Bitterness is low and soft, perfectly balancing the fruity sweetness without becoming sharp or harsh. The finish is off-dry and lingering with a persistent fruit-skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably soft, pillowy mouthfeel provided by the oats and wheat. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, creamy texture. No astringency or hop burn; alcohol warmth is negligible and well-integrated.
