NEIPA - New England IPA 5.8 º
Power Mole is a vibrant Hazy IPA that leads with a concentrated punch of tropical aromatics. The heavy use of Citra Incognito, Citra Lupomax, and Galaxy hops delivers intense layers of passion fruit, sweet citrus, and sun-ripened peach. A grist enriched with Oats and Wheat creates a soft, pillowy foundation, providing a signature opaque appearance and a smooth, medium-full body. Despite the massive hop saturation, the bitterness remains restrained and integrated, allowing the juicy, fruit-forward profile to dominate the palate. It finishes clean and off-dry, highlighting the interplay between the New World hops and a neutral fermentation character.
Appearance. Straw to light orange in color with a deep, opaque haze that gives the beer a vibrant glow. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by tropical fruit, stone fruit, and citrus. Strong notes of passion fruit, mango, and grapefruit pith are prominent. A clean, lightly bready and grainy malt presence from the wheat and oats sits in the background without any caramel or toast character.
Taste. The flavor is a massive explosion of fruity hops, mirroring the tropical and citrus notes found in the aroma. Malt flavor is low to medium, providing a soft, bready support. Bitterness is low-medium, feeling much softer than traditional IPAs. The finish is off-dry and smooth, with a lingering, juicy hop aftertaste that is free of harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the smooth, juicy feel. There is no astringency or hop burn, and alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated.
