Pressure Drop Brewing

This American IPA delivers a classic West Coast experience with a contemporary tropical edge. The bold additions of Citra and Galaxy hops provide an intense aromatic profile dominated by zesty citrus and a sharp, punchy passionfruit character. A foundational layer of clean, grainy malt provides just enough structure to support the aggressive bitterness without adding distracting sweetness. Bright and clear in the glass, it transitions from a vibrant fruit-forward attack to a decisively dry, resinous finish. The assertive hop-forward balance and crisp fermentation showcase the resinous pine and tropical fruit depth expected from these iconic modern hop varieties.

Appearance. Medium gold color with brilliant clarity. Pours with a persistent, thick, frothy white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, grapefruit, and lime peel. A subtle resinous pine undertone is supported by a low, clean, cracker-like malt character. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with intense flavors of passionfruit and citrus zest. A clean, grainy malt presence is low, allowing the medium-high bitterness to take center stage. The balance is decidedly bitter and hop-centric, leading to a crisp, dry finish with a lingering tropical and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp mouth-cleansing effect. A very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present in the finish.
