Pressure Drop Brewing

This German Pils offers a modern twist on a classic silhouette, balancing European precision with Pacific Northwest attitude. A foundation of doughy, cracker-like Pilsner malt provides a clean, dry canvas for the hops to shine. While traditional floral notes linger, the addition of Columbus hops introduces a distinctive resinous and slightly dank depth, elevating the aromatic intensity beyond standard continental examples. The palate is defined by a firm, assertive bitterness that cuts through the light malt sweetness, leading to a bone-dry, crisp finish. Effervescent and remarkably refreshing, it marries Old World structure with a bold, pungent hop character.

Appearance. Brilliant straw to pale gold (2–4 SRM) with exceptional clarity. Topped by a dense, persistent creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring herbal and spicy notes alongside a resinous, slightly pungent Columbus character. Supported by low, clean aromas of toasted crackers and sweet grain with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Crisp initial impression of grainy malt and honeyed cracker, quickly overtaken by a bold, lingering hop bitterness. Flavors of resin, dried herbs, and a touch of earthiness transition into a clean, highly attenuated and dry finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a sharp, refreshing snap on the tongue. Smooth and crisp without any harshness; no detectable alcohol warmth.
