Rocks, Rivers, Trees is a vibrant American IPA that channels the spirit of the West Coast. This expression prominently features the interplay between Azacca and Citra hops, delivering an intense sensory journey. The aroma is a tropical fruit bouquet, while the palate shifts into a bright citrus and grapefruit flavor party. A crisp, firm bitterness defines the profile, supported by a clean, light grainy malt base that provides structure without sweetness. Appearance. Medium gold to light amber (7–9 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant tropical fruit notes of mango and pineapple from Azacca, layered with sharp grapefruit and lemon zest from Citra. Supporting malt is low and clean with a crackery character. Fermentation is very clean with negligible esters.
Taste. Initial impression is of assertive bitterness and bright hops. Flavors of grapefruit, lime peel, and passion fruit dominate the palate. Malt presence is low and neutral, offering a light toasted bread character. High hop bitterness is firm but clean, leading to a very dry, crisp finish and a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness or astringency.
