This California IPA, a refined expression of the American IPA style, presents a lean and highly attenuated profile that emphasizes hop purity. The sensory experience is dominated by vibrant notes of citrus zest, resinous pine, and subtle tropical undertones. A clean, neutral fermentation allows the hop character to take center stage, supported by a minimalist, grainy malt backbone. Its dry finish and firm bitterness are hallmark traits of the West Coast approach, ensuring a crisp and refreshing palate. The beer balances moderate strength with high drinkability, making it a quintessentially bright and aromatic example of the style.

Appearance. Medium gold to light amber (SRM 7-9). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent citrus, pine resin, and light grapefruit. Supporting malt is low, offering a clean, grainy, and slightly crackery character. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean bitterness followed by intense hop flavors of lemon peel and evergreen. Malt flavor is low to medium-low, presenting as toasted bread or grain. Bitterness is firm and assertive. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
