While maintaining the style’s hallmark bitterness, the mouthfeel remains remarkably smooth and approachable. The finish is exceptionally dry, leaving a lingering trail of citrus oils and a faint, grainy sweetness. It successfully bridges the gap between a classic hop-forward ale and a contemporary, soft-textured hazy pale.
Appearance. Pale gold (6 SRM); white, frothy head with excellent persistence and moderate lacing; noticeably hazy and opaque.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent lime zest, grapefruit, and fresh floral notes; low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral backdrop; fermentation is clean with no noticeable esters or phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and hop-forward with flavors of citrus peel, lime zest, and wildflowers; medium-high bitterness provides a sharp counterpoint to the low, crackery malt; the balance is decidedly toward hops; finish is dry and clean with a lingering lime pith aftertaste.
