Pressure Drop Brewing

Apres by Pressure Drop Brewing is a crisp, modern American IPA that utilizes a lean malt bill of rice and pale malts to create a brilliant, high-clarity canvas. Fermented with lager yeast for an exceptionally clean profile, the sensory experience is dominated by its hop trio. Simcoe leads with pungent notes of resinous pine and fresh alpine air, while Azacca contributes intense tropical fruit layers. Cashmere rounds out the palate with soft citrus and melon undertones. The result is a sharp, refreshing, and hop-forward beer with a bone-dry finish that emphasizes cool-climate aromatics over malt sweetness.

Appearance. Pale gold (SRM 5) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, frothy white head that exhibits excellent persistence and leaves intricate lacing.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh pine resin and citrus zest. Secondary notes of mango and tropical stone fruit are present. The malt character is neutral and low, providing a clean, crackery foundation with no detectable fermentation esters.

Taste. A punch of grapefruit and tropical fruit leads into a firm, clean hop bitterness. The malt flavor is minimal, offering a crisp and grainy platform. Flavors of pine and lemon peel linger into a very dry, snappy finish. The balance is heavily hop-forward but maintains a clean, refreshing aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture aided by the rice adjunct. High carbonation provides a lively, scrubbing sensation on the tongue. Smooth with very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
