Prancing Pony Sunshine Ale is a vibrant interpretation of the Australian Sparkling Ale style, showcasing a singular focus on 100% Pilsener Malt and six hop additions of Citra. It greets the senses with an explosive fruit-bowl profile of lychee, mango, and pineapple, accented by bright orange and melon notes. The light straw hue and brilliant effervescence lead to a refreshing palate where a subtle malt sweetness meets a firm, citrus-forward bitterness. Crisp and highly attenuated, it finishes remarkably dry, making it a quintessentially thirst-quenching summer ale that balances traditional high carbonation with a modern tropical punch.
Appearance. Straw-colored (3–4 SRM). Tall, frothy, persistent white head with fine lacing. Brilliant clarity with noticeable effervescence, though potentially cloudy if the yeast is roused during the pour.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pineapple, mango, and lychee from the Citra hops. Soft pome fruit esters like pear and apple are present. Malt character is clean, grainy, and lightly bready from the Pilsener Malt base.
