This Imperial Stout offers an indulgent, multi-layered sensory experience, merging deep roasted malts with a decadent array of adjuncts. The profile is dominated by the fragrance of freshly ground hazelnut coffee and the rich, oily sweetness of toasted coconut, supported by a backbone of dark chocolate and espresso. On the palate, the addition of lactose provides a luxurious, velvety creaminess that softens the intense roasted character. Layers of praline, mocha, and macaroon emerge, finishing with a lingering, warming sweetness. This collaboration showcases a masterful integration of high-gravity malt complexity and bold, dessert-like infusions, resulting in a viscous and harmonious profile.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Pours with a thick, dark tan to brown head that shows moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through noticeable legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of toasted coconut and nutty hazelnut coffee. Beneath the adjuncts lies a complex malt base of dark chocolate, fudge, and heavy roast. Low dark fruit esters of plum and prune are present, with a smooth, clean alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and dessert-like. Strong flavors of bittersweet chocolate and espresso-forward hazelnut coffee blend with a sweet, tropical toasted coconut character. Low perceived hop bitterness as the residual sugar and lactose provide significant balance. The finish is long and sweet with lingering notes of mocha and vanilla.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, viscous, and chewy. Low carbonation enhances the velvety, creamy texture provided by the milk sugar. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is present but not sharp.
