This traditional Weissbier offers a classic Bavarian-style profile with a distinct Czech influence. On the nose, moderate to high esters of ripe banana harmonize with spicy clove phenols, underpinned by a bready, grain-forward malt foundation. Despite its rich, deeper caramel-tinged hue, the palate remains refreshing, showcasing doughy Pilsner malt sweetness and a delicate herbal hop touch. The mouthfeel is characteristically fluffy and effervescent, carrying the sweetish malt flavors toward a clean, relatively dry finish. Minimum bitterness ensures the yeast-driven fruitiness and subtle spice remain the focus, resulting in a well-rounded and highly approachable wheat ale.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber in color (6–10 SRM); hazy and unfiltered with a visible yeast cloud and a soft glow. Topped by a very thick, long-lasting, moussy head that is light tan to cream-colored with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity with a primary focus on banana esters and spicy clove phenols. A rich, bready, and doughy wheat character provides a solid base, complemented by a light, sweet caramel malt note and a subtle, floral hop presence.
Taste. Initial impression is of soft, bready wheat and sweetish Pilsner malt. The classic yeast profile follows with balanced banana and clove flavors. Bitterness is very low, allowing a faint honey-like malt richness to emerge before a spritzy, clean finish. Low herbal hop flavor is just detectable in the background.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a fluffy, creamy fullness that coats the palate. High carbonation provides a lively, effervescent sensation and a light, refreshing finish without any significant alcohol warmth or astringency.
