Virmalised X captures the essence of a decade’s mastery, evolving into a formidable Double IPA that emphasizes hop saturation. The sensory journey is led by an intense bouquet of resinous pine and vibrant tropical fruit, underscored by a clean, neutral malt profile. On the palate, a firm bitterness asserts itself, balanced by a lean body that ensures high drinkability despite its 8% strength. The experience is elevated by a smooth, warming sensation that carries the pungent hop oils through to a crisp, dry finish. It is a refined yet powerful celebration of the style’s lupulin-forward character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (8-10 SRM) with good clarity and a slight hop haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring grapefruit, pine resin, and tropical melon. Supportive, clean, grainy-neutral maltiness in the background with a light, smooth alcohol note and neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong citrus and resinous hop flavor with a high, clean bitterness. Low, soft malt character provides minimal support, leading into a very dry, lingering finish with a hoppy, bitter aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Moderate carbonation and a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth consistent with its strength. No hop-derived astringency.
