Udune is a vibrant Witbier that marries traditional Belgian foundations with delicate floral nuances. A creamy, hazy appearance sets the stage for an aromatic bouquet where zesty orange and peppery coriander seeds meet the distinctive, sweet-floral perfume of elderflowers. Appearance. Very pale straw (3 SRM) with a characteristic milky, opaque haze from starch and yeast. Features a dense, moussy white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready wheat malt and faint honey-like sweetness. Prominent zesty orange citrus is complemented by a sophisticated, perfumy floral note from elderflowers and the classic lemony, peppery spice of coriander. Hop aroma is absent.
Taste. Initial impression is of pleasant bready, grainy malt with a hint of vanilla. Mid-palate introduces bright orange zest and herbal elderflower notes. Bitterness is low and supportive, allowing the citrus and coriander spice to lead into a crisp, bone-dry finish with no harsh aftertaste.
