Surf City is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that captures a tropical escape in every sip. The sensory profile is defined by an explosion of guava, orange, and passionfruit, providing a lush, multi-layered fruit character. On the nose, pungent passionfruit and musky guava dominate, backed by a bright citrus zing from the orange. The palate is sharply acidic yet refreshing, where the tartness of the wild fermentation perfectly highlights the tropical medley. It finishes bone-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering essence of exotic fruit. This light-bodied sour ale balances its intense fruit presence with a clean, puckering finish that invites another sip.

Appearance. Pale straw with a distinct hazy orange-pink tint from the fruit additions; thin, white head with poor retention and minimal lacing; moderate to high haze.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant tropical fruit notes of pungent passionfruit and aromatic guava; secondary citrus notes of freshly peeled orange; clean lactic sourness with a very faint, earthy wild funk; no hop or malt aroma.

Taste. Initial sharp, clean lactic acidity; intense, authentic flavors of guava and passionfruit; mid-palate reveals bright, zesty orange citrus; very low malt presence; no hop bitterness or flavor; extremely dry finish with lingering tropical fruit esters; well-balanced acidity that enhances the fruit perception without being overwhelming.

Mouthfeel. Light body; high carbonation; crisp and effervescent; no alcohol warmth; slight mouth-watering astringency from the acidity and fruit skins.
