This opulent blend of Baltic Porter and Barley Wine presents a sophisticated layering of long-term barrel maturation. Aromas of deep toffee and molasses collide with the vinous elegance of Cognac and the decadent, woody sweetness of maple syrup barrels. The palate is exceptionally rich, featuring dark fruit notes of plum and raisin characteristic of the base styles, elevated by a luxurious maple-glaze finish. At 12% ABV, the alcohol provides a seamless, velvet warmth that integrates perfectly with the dense malt profile. Subtle hints of toasted oak and vanilla from the extended aging process provide structure to this intensely complex, winter-focused collaboration.

Appearance. Opaque dark brown to near-black (SRM 35+). Thick, persistent, tan-colored head with moderate lacing. Clear at the mahogany edges, though largely opaque in the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of maple syrup and dark caramel. Secondary notes of Cognac-soaked raisins, dried figs, and prunes. Deep malt accents of dark chocolate, molasses, and toasted nuts. Smooth, spirituous alcohol and light oak vanilla. No hop aroma.

Taste. Rich initial impression of maple and brown sugar, followed by complex layers of plum, black cherry, and toffee. The mid-palate reveals smooth, debittered roast character reminiscent of cocoa and licorice. Cognac barrel aging adds a vinous, oaky depth. Low hop bitterness provides just enough balance against the malty sweetness. The finish is long and lingering with notes of dark fruit and maple.
