American Mountains is a powerful West Coast Double IPA that showcases a masterful blend of Chinook, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. The sensory experience is defined by an intense, resinous pine and sharp grapefruit bouquet, layered with the tropical complexity and subtle berry notes of Mosaic. On the palate, a firm, clean bitterness asserts itself against a lean, crackery malt backbone, ensuring the hop character remains the focus. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer finishes remarkably dry and crisp, with a lingering resinous snap and a smooth, well-integrated warmth that invites another sip, epitomizing the classic West Coast profile.

Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM); moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing; brilliant clarity.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine, damp earth, and grapefruit zest from Chinook and Simcoe, supported by Mosaic's tropical mango and light blueberry notes. Malt is low and neutral, suggesting lightly toasted grain. Clean fermentation profile with a subtle, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely hop-forward with flavors of pine needles, grapefruit pith, and tropical fruit. Malt flavor is low, clean, and supportive, offering a brief crackery note before being overtaken by high bitterness. Finishes very dry with a long, lingering hop-bitter aftertaste that remains clean and lacks harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture from significant hop oil concentration. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but smooth.
