Double Dash is a vibrant American IPA that leans into its modern hop profile with a classic bitter backbone. The aroma is dominated by a punchy combination of Citra Cryo, Centennial, and Chinook, delivering layers of ripe grapefruit, tropical mango, and a distinct resinous pine. On the palate, the bright citrus fruitiness from the Citra Cryo takes center stage, supported by the floral notes of Centennial and the spicy, woody depth of Chinook. A clean, grainy malt base provides just enough structure to balance the firm bitterness, leading into a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes the refreshing, resinous aftertaste characteristic of a well-executed dry-hopped ale.
Appearance. Medium gold in color (approx. 7 SRM) with a slight haze from the heavy dry-hopping. Features a persistent, medium-sized white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of citrus peel, tropical fruit, and pine. Specific layers of grapefruit and lime from Citra Cryo and Centennial are complemented by the earthy, resinous spice of Chinook. Low, clean, grainy malt sweetness provides a neutral background.
Taste. Bold hop flavors of grapefruit, mango, and pine resin mirror the aroma. The bitterness is firm and assertive but clean, cutting through a light toasted malt backbone. Initial fruity sweetness quickly gives way to a medium-dry finish with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste of citrus zest and pine needles.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. Minimal alcohol warmth, making it highly drinkable.
