Plan Bee Farm Brewery Amour is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that celebrates the harvest with an abundance of farm-fresh strawberries. This barrel-aged wild ale opens with a striking, fruit-forward bouquet where ripe strawberry aromatics mingle with a delicate, rustic funk characteristic of wild fermentation. On the palate, a gentle wood-derived structure from the barrel aging gives way to a bright, assertive tartness reminiscent of fresh strawberry pulp. While complex and deeply flavored, its light body and crisp finish make it exceptionally accessible. The interplay between the tart red fruit and subtle oak nuances creates a refreshing, farm-to-glass sensory experience.
Appearance. Presents with a distinctive pinkish-red to deep rose hue (roughly 4–8 SRM with fruit tint); the head is a light pinkish foam with moderate to low retention; clarity is characterized by a slight haze common to fruited wild ales.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics dominated by fresh, jammy strawberry; low bready malt backbone supports a moderate rustic funk consisting of earthy and leathery notes; subtle oak and vanillin notes from barrel aging are present; no hop aroma.
