Piwne Podziemie / Beer Undergroun

A vibrant American IPA that leans into a crisp, sessionable profile. It opens with a punchy bouquet of tropical stone fruit and crushed gooseberry, driven by a modern hop blend of Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Taiheke. The appearance is a brilliant straw gold with a persistent white head. On the palate, Nectaron provides intense peach and passionfruit notes, while Nelson Sauvin adds a sophisticated white wine grape character. Taiheke rounds out the profile with bright citrus zest. A lean, grainy malt base keeps the focus on the hops, finishing bone-dry and remarkably clean with a firm, refreshing bitterness.

Appearance. Color is pale straw to light gold (4–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, frothy white head showing excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma. Dominated by tropical fruit (pineapple, passionfruit) from Nectaron, accompanied by crushed grape and gooseberry notes from Nelson Sauvin. Taiheke contributes fresh lime and grapefruit zest. Malt is very low, presenting as clean cracker or light graininess. Neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial hop impact is high, mirroring the aroma with layers of peach, nectarine, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Bitterness is medium-high but clean, never harsh. Malt provides a thin but sufficient backbone of light bready notes. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a lingering citrus and resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the dry finish. No perceived alcohol warmth. Very low astringency.
