This 10th Anniversary Classic Style Smoked Beer is a masterclass in intensity, functioning as a heavyweight Peated Ale. It presents a profound sensory profile dominated by assertive peat smoke, offering evocative notes of medicinal iodine, damp earth, and campfire soot. Appearance. Deep copper to chestnut brown (SRM 17-20); brilliant clarity despite the rich color. Crowned by a dense, tan-colored head with excellent retention and thick, creamy lacing.

Aroma. High intensity smoke-forward aroma. Dominated by peat-derived phenols: medicinal bandages, liquid smoke, and earthy bog. Supporting this is a moderate malt character of toasted crust and dark caramel. Hop aroma is very low and earthy, while fermentation remains exceptionally clean with no esters.

Taste. Bold initial impression of medicinal peat smoke and campfire char. The mid-palate introduces a balancing malt sweetness of caramel and biscuit. Hop bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to offset the 16°Blg malt weight. The finish is strikingly dry and savory with a lingering, phenolic aftertaste of smoked malt and earth.
