This vibrant American IPA showcases a single-hop profile of Mosaic, delivering an intense sensory experience tailored for warm weather. It pours a bright golden color with a persistent white head. The aroma is dominated by the signature Mosaic profile, featuring complex layers of ripe mango, papaya, and a distinct hint of blueberry, supported by low, clean grainy maltiness. On the palate, the hop character remains prominent, offering tropical fruit and resinous pine notes followed by a firm, refreshing bitterness. Despite its lighter alcohol content, the beer maintains a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes hop character over malt sweetness, embodying a refreshing summer profile.
Appearance. Color is medium gold (6 SRM) with a brilliant to clear clarity. It supports a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent Mosaic characteristics: tropical fruit (mango, guava), stone fruit, and a subtle berry or blueberry note. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral base. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is decidedly hop-forward with flavors of tropical fruit, citrus, and light resin. Low grainy-sweet malt provides a subtle backbone. Medium-high bitterness is clean and well-defined, leading to a dry finish. The aftertaste is hoppy and crisp with a light, lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, clean texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing bite. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.
