Raven 12 is a quintessential Czech Premium Pale Lager that beautifully showcases the brewing heritage of Pilsen. It leads with a deep, bready-rich aroma derived from high-quality Czech malt, perfectly complemented by the spicy and floral bouquet of traditional Czech hops. The palate experience is defined by a complex, decoction-like malt sweetness reminiscent of toasted bread crusts, balanced by a firm yet soft and rounded bitterness. This dvanáctka is remarkably smooth, utilizing the region's characteristic soft water to deliver a clean, crisp finish that lingers with a gentle herbal hop trail, making it both sophisticated and highly sessionable.
Appearance. Deep gold color (approx. 5 SRM); brilliant clarity; dense, long-lasting, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity; rich, bready, and toasted malt character; prominent spicy, floral, and herbal hop bouquet; very clean fermentation profile with a barely perceptible hint of buttery diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression of rich, complex bready maltiness; hop flavors are medium-high and spicy; bitterness is prominent (35-40 IBU range) but soft and never harsh; balanced towards a clean, crisp finish with a lingering bready and floral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body; moderate carbonation; smooth and creamy texture; no alcohol warmth; very low astringency.
