This West Coast IPA presents an assertive sensory profile defined by its complex hop trio. The aroma is dominated by the tropical and berry-like notes of Mosaic, layered with the characteristic crushed white grape and gooseberry of Nelson Sauvin. The addition of Superdelic introduces vibrant red fruit and citrus candy undertones. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base supports a firm, resinous bitterness that leads to a crisp, dry finish. Appearance. Deep gold (8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of blueberry and mango from Mosaic, paired with the distinctive white wine and gooseberry complexity of Nelson Sauvin. Hints of sweet citrus and red berries from Superdelic are present. Malt is low and clean, with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and resin. Mid-palate reveals vinous qualities and citrus-candy notes. Malt flavor is low, suggesting light crackers or bread crust. Bitterness is firm and assertive, lingering into a very dry, clean finish without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. A subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 7.1% strength.
