Pivovar Mazák Krush
This American IPA showcases the vibrant potential of the Krush hop variety, supported by a sturdy foundation of Pilsner and wheat malts. The inclusion of both wheat malt and unmalted wheat provides a softened, slightly creamy backdrop for the explosive hop profile. Intense aromas of ripe mango, stone fruit like peach, and bright citrus peel dominate the olfactory experience. On the palate, Columbus hops provide a firm, clean bitterness that balances the initial fruit-forward rush. The finish is crisp and dry, emphasizing the tropical hop character while maintaining a high level of drinkability and a refreshing, lingering bitterness.
Appearance. Medium golden color (7 SRM) with a slight haze from the wheat additions. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with good lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent mango, peach, and citrus notes. Low, grainy-sweet malt aroma with a clean fermentation profile and no noticeable diacetyl.
Taste. Bold hop-forward flavors mirroring the aroma, specifically tropical mango and juicy stone fruit. Moderate-high bitterness provides a clean structure against a low, bready malt background. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture from the wheat. Medium-high carbonation with no astringency and a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
