Pivovar Bizon

Nostalgie 77 is a characterful Czech Premium Pale Lager that evokes the heritage of 1977 brewing traditions. A base of Pilsner malt and Vienna malt creates a deeply bready, rich malt body with a deep golden hue. The aromatic profile is defined by the classic interplay of Žatecký poloraný červeňák and Premiant hops, offering a bouquet of spicy, floral, and slightly herbal notes. On the palate, a soft but assertive bitterness balances the complex malt sweetness, leading to a clean, lingering finish. This lager exemplifies the rounded, soft water profile and refined hop character typical of traditional Bohemian brewing.

Appearance. Deep gold color (6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring rich, bready-rich malt character. A complex hop bouquet of spicy, herbal, and floral notes is prominent. Very low diacetyl is present, providing a traditional touch without overshadowing the clean fermentation.

Taste. Initial impression is a rich, bready maltiness followed by a soft, rounded, yet assertive bitterness. Malt flavors are complex with a hint of toasted grain from the Vienna malt. Hop flavors are medium-high with spicy and floral characteristics. The finish is long and balanced, moving from malt sweetness to a clean, lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture. Carbonation is moderate. No perceived alcohol warmth at 4.7% ABV. Extremely smooth with no harshness or astringency.
