Dragon Love is a vibrant Hazy IPA that defies traditional color expectations with a stunning deep pink hue derived from the addition of dragon fruit. This visual spectacle is matched by an intense tropical aroma where the exotic, mildly sweet notes of the dragon fruit meld with juicy hop characters of mango and passion fruit. On the palate, it delivers a soft, pillowy texture characteristic of the New England style, offering a fruit-forward profile with restrained bitterness. The result is a refreshing and highly drinkable experience that balances the unique floral-earthy sweetness of dragon fruit with a clean, bready malt backbone.
Appearance. Distinctive deep pink to rose-colored hue; opaque with a heavy haze and a luminous shine. Features a medium-sized, rocky, pinkish-white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit, citrus, and stone fruit, complemented by the exotic, subtly earthy sweetness of dragon fruit. Background malt is clean and lightly bready; no caramel or toast present. Fermentation character is neutral to lightly fruity.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor reflecting tropical and citrus notes, paired with the specific sweet-cactus character of dragon fruit. Low to medium-low bready malt flavor provides a neutral base. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and well-integrated into the fuller body. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. Displays no harshness or astringency, with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength.
