Solidarity is a refreshing, low-gravity American Pale Ale that balances a lean malt backbone with a vibrant hop trio. The addition of Simcoe provides a foundation of earthy pine and bright passion fruit, while Citra amplifies the sensory experience with layers of zesty grapefruit and lime. El Dorado rounds out the profile with distinctive notes of stone fruit and tropical pineapple. Despite its sessionable strength, the beer offers a clear, hop-forward character that remains approachable. The finish is crisp and clean, reflecting its purposeful design as a highly drinkable craft beer meant to support a significant cause.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM) with a moderately large, frothy white head that exhibits good retention and fine lacing. Clarity is brilliant.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring prominent citrus zest and tropical stone fruit. A supporting layer of resinous pine and berry is present. Low neutral, grainy maltiness provides a clean background, with virtually no yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impressions of tropical fruit and citrus follow the aroma, supported by a light, bready malt foundation. The hop bitterness is moderate and well-integrated. Flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and a touch of earthiness lead into a medium-dry, clean finish with a short, pleasant hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that provides a crisp, refreshing prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is negligible given the low gravity, and the finish is smooth without any detectable astringency.
