Pioneer Beer QUADRANT
This experimental American IPA showcases the cutting edge of Czech hop breeding, featuring the unique 5512 CERES and 5580 PLUTO varieties from Žatec. A massive whirlpool addition and double dry-hopping create a layered sensory profile where intense herbal notes collide with vibrant tropical and stone fruit characteristics. Fermented with Vermont IPA yeast, the beer delivers a lush ester profile that complements the hops without overshadowing the style’s signature bitterness. The result is a complex, modern ale that balances the earthy, herbal traditions of Central European hops with the bold, fruit-forward intensity expected of a contemporary IPA.
Appearance. Medium gold with a slight haze from the double dry-hop additions. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex blend of peach and apricot esters alongside distinct herbal, spicy, and tropical fruit notes from the CERES and PLUTO hops. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a subtle backbone.
Taste. Assertive hop flavor dominated by stone fruit and a unique herbal complexity. Firm bitterness is well-integrated with a light, bready malt profile. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy and slightly resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture derived from the Vermont IPA yeast strain. Moderate carbonation with no harshness or astringency.
