This modern West Coast IPA presents a brilliant, lean sensory profile defined by its high drinkability and assertive hop presence. Pouring a bright gold, it opens with an intense bouquet of citrus zest, tropical pineapple, and a classic resinous undertone characteristic of American hop varieties. The palate is exceptionally dry and crisp, allowing a sharp bitterness to lead without being abrasive. A light, crackery malt base provides just enough structure to support the vibrant hop flavors. Clean and refreshing, the finish is lingering and bitter, epitomizing the evolution of the American IPA towards a more balanced yet uncompromisingly hop-forward experience.
Appearance. Brilliant, bright gold (6-7 SRM). Forms a medium-sized, persistent white head with fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, and subtle passion fruit. Clean fermentation profile with a very low, grainy malt presence in the background.
Taste. High hop bitterness is immediate and clean, supported by flavors of lemon peel, resin, and tropical fruit. The malt character is low and crackery, ensuring a very dry, crisp finish with a long, hoppy aftertaste. No harshness in the bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at the finish.
