The addition of natural cherry, blood orange, and peach juices creates a multi-layered fruit profile that leads with tart red fruit and citrus brightness. The cherry provides a foundational stone-fruit depth, while blood orange lends a zesty, slightly bitter citrus edge, and peach rounds out the mid-palate with a soft, fuzzy sweetness. Despite the intensive fruit addition, the beer remains highly drinkable and crisp, finishing with a refreshing dryness that masks the modest ABV and highlights the brewer's focus on refreshment.
Appearance. Deep salmon to ruby-red in color with a slight natural haze from the fruit juices. Topped with a pink-tinted, fine-beaded head that shows moderate retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh fruit dominates the nose. Distinctive tart cherry leads, followed closely by the citrus zing of blood orange and a softer, floral peach aroma. Very low crackery malt sweetness is tucked in the background. Hop aroma is absent, allowing the fruit qualities to shine. Clean fermentation with no notable phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of mixed fruit. The tartness of the cherry is the primary driver, balanced by the juicy, slightly pithy character of blood orange. The peach offers a subtle mid-palate sweetness that prevents the acidity from becoming sharp. Low hop bitterness allows the fruit flavors to remain the focal point. The finish is clean and dry with a lingering red-fruit aftertaste, lacking any cloying artificiality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Carbonation is moderately high, providing a spritzy, sangria-like effervescence. No alcohol warmth is present, and there is a very faint, pleasant tannic dryness from the cherry skins.
