PINTA

This Cold IPA collaboration bridges styles with a fermentation blend of Verdant ale yeast and W34/70 lager yeast, resulting in a remarkably crisp and clean foundation. The hop profile is vibrant and multi-layered, led by the intense tropical and mango notes of HBC 586 and the distinct apricot and resinous depth of Idaho 7. HBC 630 contributes a unique berry and stone fruit complexity, while Simcoe provides a grounding piney backbone. The experience is hop-forward and decidedly dry, offering a high-impact sensory profile with a refreshing, lean finish that emphasizes modern American IPA hop intensity.

Appearance. Pale gold to medium gold. Brilliant clarity with a persistent, finely-textured white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma. Prominent notes of mango, apricot, and sweet berry are balanced by resinous pine and light citrus. Clean, grainy malt character is minimal, allowing the ester-lean fermentation and massive hop charge of HBC 630, Simcoe, HBC 586, and Idaho 7 to dominate.

Taste. Initial punch of tropical fruit, peach, and forest floor. High hop bitterness is firm but clean, never harsh. Medium-low grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a dry, crisp finish. Flavors of pine, berry, and grapefruit peel linger long into the aftertaste, supported by a neutral fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Moderate-high carbonation. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. Smooth, with no detectable astringency despite the 18g/l hop rate.
