PINTA Hazy Discovery Transylvania
This collaborative Hazy IPA from PINTA and Blackout Brewing delivers a vivid sensory journey through its massive hop profile. A heavy dose of Nectaron provides a lush foundation of stone fruit and tropical pineapple, while the addition of Simcoe and Simcoe Cryo introduces layers of bright citrus and a subtle, refreshing pine resin. The aroma is highly intense and juice-forward, leading into a velvety palate characterized by low bitterness and a soft, bready malt backbone. It finishes with an off-dry, lingering tropical essence that captures the essence of fresh New Zealand hop farms within a smooth European framework.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (SRM 4); opaque haze with a brilliant shine; thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by stone fruit, passion fruit, and peach from Nectaron, supported by grapefruit and light resinous pine from Simcoe. Clean, bready malt in the background with neutral fermentation esters.
Taste. High impact tropical and stone fruit flavors; low-medium bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. Neutral, bready malt flavor provides structure without sweetness. Finish is off-dry and clean with a lingering fruity character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, smooth texture; moderate carbonation; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no hop-derived astringency or harshness.
