PINTA Hazy Disco - Bucharest, a collaboration with Hop Hooligans and Bereta, delivers a unique sensory experience driven by an unconventional 100% oat grist. This Double IPA radiates intense tropical and stone fruit notes from a massive 21g/l dry-hop addition. The complex profile features the lemon-lime and melon of Cashmere, the honeydew of Huell Melon, and the pineapple of Vic Secret. Enigma and Olicana contribute nuanced layers of red berry and tropical fruit. The oats create a remarkably creamy, silky texture that supports a firm bitterness, finishing with a lingering, resinous fruitiness that defines its modern character.
Appearance.Straw to pale gold (6 SRM); opaque, milky haze. Large, dense, white head with excellent retention and thick, persistent lacing.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma dominated by pineapple, honeydew melon, and citrus. Subtle underlying notes of passionfruit and crushed grape. Malt is clean and neutral, with a soft, grainy, oat-like sweetness in the background. Fermentation is clean with a light, tropical ester profile.
Taste.Explosive hop flavors of melon, lime, and ripe pineapple lead into a mid-palate of berries and tropical fruit. Moderately high bitterness that remains smooth and avoids harshness. The malt character is soft and doughy, providing a platform for the hops without adding caramel or toast. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, creamy, and velvety texture from the high oat content. Moderate carbonation. No astringency; a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
