PINTA Deep Into October
Designed as a sessionable bridge into autumn, Deep Into October is an American Amber Ale that balances a rich, copper-hued malt backbone with a vibrant, modern hop profile. The use of El Dorado and Azacca drives a bright citrus and tropical fruit core, while Chinook provides a grounding layer of pine and resin. Strata adds a contemporary twist with subtle notes of passion fruit and berry. Despite its 5% ABV, it maintains a smooth, medium body with moderate caramel sweetness that supports the firm bitterness, finishing clean and highly drinkable as a classic Red APA.
Appearance. Eye-pleasing copper to deep amber color with brilliant clarity. Features a moderately large, off-white head with good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop aroma characterized by bright citrus, tropical mango, and a distinct piney resin. Supportive base of moderate caramel and lightly toasted malt provides balance. Low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial malty sweetness yields to moderate caramel and biscuity flavors. Hop flavor is pronounced with citrus and tropical notes. Bitterness is moderate to moderately high, balancing the malt sweetness without becoming harsh. Finishes medium-dry with lingering hop resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a crisp lift to the palate. Low alcohol warmth and no astringency.
