PINTA Crisp Like April is an exceptionally refreshing take on an American IPA, leaning into the lean, snappy profile of a Cold IPA. The hop-forward character is driven by a vibrant blend of Centennial and Amarillo, offering bright layers of grapefruit and orange zest. Simcoe contributes a classic resinous pine backbone, while Vic Secret introduces modern tropical notes of pineapple and passionfruit. The malt base is strikingly clean and grainy, drawing inspiration from a Pilsner to ensure maximum drinkability. It finishes bone-dry with a sharp, lingering bitterness that maintains the beer’s sessionable, crisp character throughout.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (6 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Persistent, dense white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring resinous pine, grapefruit, and floral notes. Distinct tropical fruit scents of pineapple and passionfruit. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness. Neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impact of citrus and resinous hops. Mid-palate reveals lemon peel and tropical fruit. Bitterness is firm and assertive. Low, cracker-like malt flavor provides minimal but sufficient support. Fermentation is very clean. Finish is extremely dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, snappy texture. Medium-high carbonation. No alcohol warmth or harshness. High drinkability.
