This hybrid approach yields a brilliant, bright character, emphasizing a clean fermentation profile that allows the hop intensity to take center stage. Expect a vibrant bouquet of citrus, tropical fruit, and resinous pine, supported by a lean, grainy malt base that ensures a refreshing, snappy finish. It delivers the punchy bitterness and hop-forward complexity of a modern India Pale Ale while maintaining the high drinkability and cold precision of a well-crafted pilsner, resulting in a remarkably refreshing experience.
Appearance. Color ranges from medium gold to deep yellow with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, crushed pine needles, and ripe passion fruit. The malt character is very low and purely grainy, providing a neutral backdrop. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no ester presence, highlighting the hop-forward profile.
Taste. Assertive hop flavor mirrors the aroma with citrus zest and resinous notes dominating. Bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a minimal, light-colored grainy malt presence. The fermentation character is neutral. It concludes with a very dry, crisp finish and a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the refreshing quality. There is a very slight, well-integrated alcohol warmth that never becomes harsh.
