This Imperial Porter presents a profound sensory experience, merging the robust backbone of an American Porter with the intense complexity of peated whisky barrel aging. The profile is anchored by deeply roasted malts, delivering rich notes of dark chocolate and espresso. The three-month stay in peated barrels introduces a sophisticated layer of medicinal smoke, iodine, and earthy peat that weaves through the malt sweetness. Despite the high 11% alcohol, the presence provides a smooth, integrated warmth rather than a sharp bite. Expect a harmonious interplay between charred oak, resinous hop undertones, and a lingering, smoky-sweet finish that defines this bold, barrel-matured ale.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to near-black color with dark garnet highlights when held to light. Topped with a dense, creamy, tan-colored head that exhibits moderate retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant notes of dark chocolate, heavily roasted coffee, and light char. The barrel aging contributes distinct aromas of medicinal peat smoke, damp earth, and toasted oak.
