This Imperial Stout presents a decadent tapestry of indulgence, matured for eighteen months in Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels alongside Rittenhouse Rye casks. The extended aging imparts a sophisticated oak structure and spicy rye nuances that weave through a dense core of Sao Tome cocoa nibs and Madagascar and Uganda vanilla pods. Toasted Sri Lankan coconut provides a creamy, tropical top note, while Brazilian coffee beans add a roasty, earthy depth. The result is a harmonious, velvety experience where the 12% ABV provides a gentle, integrated warmth, balancing the intense sweetness with layers of dark fruit and charred wood.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It pours with a thick, deep tan head with moderate retention and oily lacing, showing visible viscosity and legs.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. A rich blend of espresso, bittersweet chocolate, and charred malt is layered with prominent toasted coconut, floral vanilla, and spicy rye whisky. Low esters of plum and raisin are present alongside sweet bourbon-soaked oak.

Taste. An intense initial impression of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Flavors of nutty coconut and sweet vanilla balance a medium-high bitterness from roasted grains and Sao Tome cocoa. The mid-palate reveals caramel and spicy oak from the Rittenhouse Rye barrels. The finish is long and warming with a lingering bittersweet mocha character.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, noticeable alcohol warmth is present but remains well-integrated and never sharp.
