Sundowner is a saturated Double IPA that leans into the modern New England profile through an intensive triple dry-hopping process. Featuring a cocktail of Nectaron and Peacharine, the nose erupts with dripping peach, nectarine, and vibrant passionfruit. Strata and Cryo Pop hops contribute deeper layers of sun-ripened strawberry and tropical punch. Despite its 9.2% strength, the beer maintains a smooth, creamy presence with lower perceived bitterness than traditional versions, focusing instead on a lush, fruit-forward experience. The finish is clean with a soft alcohol warmth that balances the intense, hop-saturated palate without veering into cloying sweetness.

Appearance. Hazy to opaque golden-orange (6-8 SRM). Thick, persistent, creamy white head with dense lacing.

Aroma. Intense, punchy aroma of stone fruit (peach, nectarine) and tropical notes (pineapple, passionfruit). Secondary hints of strawberry and citrus zest. Low, neutral grainy malt; clean fermentation with high fruit esters from hop additions.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of peach and passionfruit flavors. Low to moderate bitterness that is exceptionally smooth and lacking harshness. Malt is supportive and soft, providing a neutral, doughy background for the Peacharine and Nectaron layers. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste and a gentle, well-integrated alcohol note.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth; no hop-derived astringency.
