NEIPA - New England IPA 6.6 º
This Hazy IPA delivers a saturated hop experience through a double dry-hopped combination of Nectaron, Riwaka, and Citra. The aroma is dominated by stone fruit and passionfruit cues from the Nectaron, while Riwaka provides a distinctive pink grapefruit and tropical zest. Citra adds bright layers of mango and lime. The malt presence remains subtle and bready, allowing the fruit-forward hop character to lead. The mouthfeel is notably soft and pillowy, typical of the style, balancing a restrained bitterness with a lush, juicy finish that highlights the complex biotransformation of its premium Southern Hemisphere and American hop varieties.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold with a distinct, opaque haze providing a vibrant shine. Features a tall, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring prominent notes of peach and nectarine (Nectaron), grapefruit and passionfruit (Riwaka), and bright citrus (Citra). Secondary notes include light bready malt and a clean, neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors echoing the aroma: juicy stone fruit, tropical passionfruit, and sweet citrus. Bitterness is low-moderate and exceptionally smooth, never harsh. Malt provides a light, grainy backbone. The finish is off-dry and lingering with a persistent tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 6.6%, but the overall impression is smooth without any astringency.
