Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark reddish-brown (22-30 SRM). Moderate light-tan head with average retention. Generally clear, though appearing opaque in the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a focus on roasted malt character. Dominant notes of dark chocolate and coffee with secondary layers of toasted bread and light caramel. Low fruity esters of dark fruit. Hop aroma is absent.
