Updog is a vibrant Hazy IPA that delivers a lush, tropical sensory experience driven by a potent blend of Idaho 7, Motueka, and El Dorado hops. The profile opens with an explosion of zesty lime and crushed pineapple, transitioning into a saturated mid-palate featuring sweet melon, stone fruit, and candied pear. A soft, pillowy texture is supported by a subtle, bready malt base that provides structural balance without competing for attention. Delicate resinous pine notes emerge in the finish, anchored by a restrained, smooth bitterness. This collaboration emphasizes a velvety mouthfeel and high aromatic intensity, resulting in a modern, juice-forward character.

Appearance. Color is straw to deep gold (SRM 4-6) with a distinctive hazy, nearly opaque clarity that provides a soft glow. It is topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High aromatic intensity dominated by tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent notes of lime zest, ripe mango, and pineapple are layered over a background of sweet melon and pear. Malt character is low and bready, serving as a neutral canvas for the hops. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit juice, featuring pineapple, mango, and lime. The hop flavor is very high, while the malt flavor remains low to medium-low with a grainy, bready quality. Bitterness is low to moderate and smooth, never harsh. The finish is soft and off-dry with lingering notes of tropical fruit and a hint of resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth, and the beer is completely free of astringency or harshness.
