Snowball presents as a quintessential Hazy IPA, defined by its lush, tropical intensity. The trio of Nectaron, Citra, and Mosaic hops creates a vivid sensory tapestry, bursting with notes of ripe pineapple, passionfruit, and zesty grapefruit. On the palate, the hop-forward profile is balanced by a soft, bready malt backbone that provides a pillowy foundation for the juicy stone fruit and citrus flavors. A smooth, rounded mouthfeel suppresses harsh bitterness, allowing the vibrant peach and mango nuances to linger through a clean, refreshing finish. It is a masterclass in modern hopping, delivering deep complexity with a remarkably approachable, juice-like character.
Appearance. Straw to light golden (4-6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze and a healthy shine. Topped with a medium-high, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward profile featuring pineapple, peach, and passionfruit from Nectaron, zesty citrus from Citra, and mango and berry notes from Mosaic. Clean, bready, and lightly grainy malt in the background; fermentation is neutral to slightly estery.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and stone fruit flavors. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft and never sharp. Malt provides a supportive bready, neutral character. Finishes off-dry to medium with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any perceived astringency or hop burn.
